As a college student, there are many things I didn’t know would make such a difference. On bad days or even just stressful days, these things have helped me and my friends so much.

I hope they help you with whatever you are going through as well.

You are not perfect. So what, you forgot to work out today? There is always tomorrow. You did your best on that exam, and you will work even harder to do better on the next one. You are just one single person, you are bound to stumble and fall. Just get up, dust yourself off. Keep on going.

You are trying. You are working really hard to do everything, juggle everything, and be everything. You are working through your own stuff and you are living your life the best that you see fit. You are in charge of you, and you can choose your own path now.

You don’t like how things are? Change it. Do everything in your power to stand up, to change something, to make a difference. You are important. “Be the change you wish you see in the world.” -- Ghandi

Put yourself first. Take a day off, you studied every day after class for a week straight. Watch a movie, go out to dinner. Treat yourself for working hard. You have a lot going on and you are finding your way, everyone needs to take a break once in a while.

So many people care about you. You might be sitting here staring at the laundry and homework piling up and thinking it is all useless, but it's not. You are worth the world to someone, and reader, you are worth the world to me. You have so much to do, and so many people will be there to support you and help you. Just reach out and ask someone.

Tomorrow will be better. Today might have sucked. You might’ve missed a quiz, or failed a test. That’s okay. Everyone has bad days. Make tomorrow better. Take time for yourself, listen to your favorite song. Go for a drive, or play a game. If tomorrow isn’t any better, there are an infinite amount of tomorrows after. Just breathe and let it all pass.

Believe in yourself. You may think that this is impossible, you couldn’t ever do this. You are lousy, or untalented. But, reader, you are not. You have so much in that brain of yours. You have all of these ideas and opinions and this wonderful life that is so important. Believe in yourself even if no one else does, because you are remarkable. Prove them wrong.

You got this. You just need to take it one step at a time. You will see the other side, and you will look back and remember all you’ve gone through and how you’ve finally made it. Go rock this world.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.

Grey's Anatomy

Even Shonda Rhimes, winning creator and executive producer of the hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and The Catch agrees that relationships with fictional characters are real. In her book, The Year of Yes she states, "I have spent more time with Meredith and Christina then many of my actual friends...When you watched TV, even spending a full hour with Christina once a week, you were likely spending more time with her then you spent with most people in your life. That relationship was real."

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.
