One of my biggest challenges is working out without having access to my university's recreation center. In order to battle this challenge over this upcoming Christmas break, I decided to find seven YouTube videos/channels (for the seven days of the week) with workout videos that I could do in my room at home.
1. Chloe Ting
Chloe has a variety of playlists on her channel, including workouts, travel, beauty, fashion and recipes. I love that most of her workouts are under ten minutes long. Even if I do not have time to do a full workout over break because of work or other obligations, I at least did something, even if it is a quick ten minute ab workout or a six minute butt workout.
2. Blogilates
I have done Blogilates workouts in the past and let me tell you, they kicked my butt. Cassey has such variety to all of her workouts, whether you want to do arms, abs, legs or cardio! She also has videos on her channel for healthy eats which is an awesome addition. Some of my favorite workouts of hers are her booty ones, they always make me so sore!
3. ICON UK | Danielle Peazer
I was drawn to this playlist because I absolutely love hip-hop. I danced in high school and was in hip-hop classes for three years. These workouts are so enticing to me because it makes the workout fun, while allowing me to reminisce on my high school days at my studio.
4. Pamela RF
Pamela only has two workout videos posted, however neither require equipment (besides an exercise ball!) and both are short enough to squeeze in before work or bed.
5. Fiercelivy
This channel is flexibility based, something that is incredibly important to focus on when working out. After a good workout, your muscles deserve a nice stretch. Since I moved to college and have not danced, I noticed my flexibility has diminished greatly. I am hoping that these videos will be a fun way for me to work on gaining my flexibility back.
6. Flow With Adee
This is another channel focused on flexibility but it incorporates yoga as well. If you could not tell, yoga is one of my favorite workouts lately! I love how these videos focus on certain areas of the body that may be tight or sore and provides stretching tips and techniques for them.
7. Yoga With Adriene
I have heard about Yoga With Adriene a lot recently, so I decided to check out her channel. One of her coolest features, in my opinion, is her playlist '30 Days of Yoga!' I just started yoga this semester and I am so excited that I can keep up with it over break. It is such a wonderful way to relax, de-stress, calm your mind and stretch!
