Meredith Grey And Alex Karev: The Best Love Story

Oh, "Grey's." The show with the most outrageous plot twists, intense storylines and tragically flawed love stories thanks to the very fabulous Shonda Rhimes. Let's face the facts, shall we? It almost seems like Meredith Grey and Alex Karev are destined to be together. They are the only original interns left from the start of the show and now practically run Grey Sloan Memorial.

They've been through the unthinkable together. There had been shootings, bombings, accidents, deaths and heartbreaks. They're pretty much all each other has.

Call me crazy, but they high-key belong together. Before you disagree with me because of McDreamy (may he rest in peace) or whomever you like Alex with most, let me give you some of the best and logical reasons why they do. And yes, I solemnly swear I will try to keep it short and sweet.

1. For starters, they've never hooked up.

Over the past 12 seasons we've watched both Meredith and Alex made careless, lustful and sometimes stupid choices. There's been Meredith and Derek, Meredith and Finn, Alex and Izzie, Alex and Eva, Alex and Jo... well you get it. They have no shame of it either. Ironically enough, the two most free-willed characters have never hooked up. Is that Shonda's way of planning for their epic love story?

2. They prioritize each other.

Throughout the years, these two have always and consistently prioritized each other. It doesn't matter when, why or how, they just do, and in the most selfless and innocent ways. Well, kinda. Alex has even kicked out Jo numerous times to let Meredith sleep in the bed next to him or simply just let her vent. He chooses her every time.

3. They have always kept each other in-line.

They're both stubborn. They're both hot-headed. They're both not afraid to keep each other in check. Through the good, bad and the ugly, the realness and honesty in their relationship is so spot on.

4. They know what each other needs.

Both Alex and Meredith come from rough and troubled pasts. They both don't like discussing feelings, nor do they ever. They only do so primarily with each other. These two just know each other so insanely well that even without talking, they know how to mend each other's feelings.

5. She's the only one that can tame him.

Alex is notoriously known for not giving a crap. If you cross him the wrong way, he will retaliate and without hesitation will come at you with his fists regardless of being a surgeon. There had be many moments throughout the 12 seasons thus far where Alex finds himself fighting, and it's only Meredith that can stop him and cool him off.

6. Yet, if need be she would risk damaging her surgical hands for him.

Enough said. You see it in her eyes she would.

7. They challenge each other.

They give each other tough love and always tell it how it is whether they want to admit it or not. They inspire each other. They have each other's back.

8. It's them against the world.

They're close enough where there's no shame in self-pity binge drinking, despite the fact that Meredith's go-to choice being tequila.

9. Through sickness and in health.

We already know these two have been there through it all, but in the season 12 opener, it's us that gets the real eye-opener. When Meredith was attacked we learn that not only is Alex heart completely crushed and full of worry, but he is her emergency contact. That in itself says something; that's usually the role of your significant other, right?

10. Alex is Meredith's "person."

Once Cristina left, Alex automatically becomes Meredith's new person. Every "Grey's" fan knows the deepness and entirety of this saying. It's a really big deal. Ever since this moment, Alex and Meredith have gotten closer than anyone could have ever imagined. Their relationship is only going to get stronger.

Must I go on? It seems as if "Grey's Anatomy" will never end, and I'm completely content with that. Although Shonda Rhimes is all about making our hearts drop and making our heads spin, hopefully she's pulling something magical together: a happy ending for the two best friends... together. It's the best kind of love.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
