We all have our problems. We all deal with them in our own way. Everyone is different with how they feel and act. And that's okay. But lets talk about mental health, okay? Mental health is so important.

Why, you may ask? Well, I'll tell you why!

Mental health affects how we think and feel, and even act. It includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Along with how we deal with stress, relate to others, and even making choices. Behavior, mood, and even your own thinking can be affected.

There are many different reasons as to why there are shifts in your mood, behavior, and thinking. Which include:

Genes or brain chemistry, which are biological factors

Life experiences (i.e. trauma or abuse)

Family history

No matter what it may be, we all deal with our own things. And it is up to us on how we deal with it and how we approach it.

School and work can also take a major toll on us as well. And it is okay to take a mental health day. Mental health should always come first.

Mental health will always be important. Sometimes you just have to take a step back from reality and think to yourself: "Am I happy? Am I okay mentally? Can I do this right now? Is it possible for me to do this right now?"

And guess what? It is okay if you need to go get help. You have to work on you, for you, and only you. Don't let anyone try and dictate your happiness and your life. This is your life and you have to live it to your full potential. You aren't weak by getting help. You're taking a step in the right direction by getting the help you need and deserve.

And for me personally, I think getting help is probably one of the most strongest things you can do.

Don't be afraid. Get the help you need. You matter. Everyone around you wants you to be happy. They all care about you. They really do. Keep reminding yourself of all the good in your life as well. There is always good.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
