The runways of Fall/Winter 2019 have funneled the trend radar with a wide range of dapper and style savvy trends, but guys, we have picked out the ultimate men's fashion collections that stole the show with creativity, functionality, and diversity.
Louis Vuitton
The splendid collection by Louis Vuitton, spearheaded by the talented men's creative director Virgil Abloh who has worked with Yeezy's fashion designer Kanye West in the past, endorsed a bold ideology of gender fluidity. It opened up with a bespoke line-up of grey double-tailored coats, wide trousers featuring split-folds, double-tailored jackets, and traditional blazers with quirky bomber accents.
The collection introduced a fabulous take on gender fluidity and celebrated the diversity of men with trousers featuring intricately pleated skirts, world flags adorned on key statement articles, and glitter-covered cashmere as well as quilted leather puffers.
Fendi
Fendi's glamorous men's collection is inspired by the personal sense of style of the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, the head designer of the Italian brand. The line-up opened up with a striking variety of sharply tailored outwear statements, of which the double-breasted jacket with six buttons and patch pockets stole the show with its masculine charm.
The collection also includes handsome suits with liquid nylon-like fluidity, warm cashmere coats, fine quality woolen blazers, and an insanely quirky pair of cowboy boots featuring contrasting rubber soles.
Dior Men
Dior Men's creative genius, Kim Jones, introduced a super-functional and versatile line-up of suiting, fine tailoring and quirky accessories inspired by precision and comfort. The collection was dominated by casual wear, finely tailored suits, classical accents, hues of brown-purple, raven black, and faded greys as well as exquisitely matched scarves.
The collection was emboldened by the US military-style boots and other ruggedly masculine footwear statements that stole the show. Dior Men has provided men with ample opportunities to rock velvet, suede, and fur this season, with a handsome line-up of tailored jackets, leather blousons, and suits. The printed sweaters with tiger stripes dominated the mood with their masculine comfort.
Valentino
Valentino is reigning over the men's fashion radar with two incredible collaborations to launch its dashing line-up of boldly black menswear collections.
The first collaboration is between Valentino's esteemed creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, and the popular German brand Birkenstock. The creation is an ultra-trendy Valentino-stamped sandal, a limited-edition offering.
The second (and more exciting one) is the collaboration with Jun Takahashi of Undercover, a Japanese conceptual fashion designer. This line-up is inspired by extra-terrestrial influences, flying saucers, UFOs, spaceships and vintage rocks. The most striking pieces by Valentino include the prints inspired by Ludwig van Beethoven, nude mohair sweaters, and the jacquard trench coats.
