To The Men Of KU Basketball

After taking a few days to settle down and filter through all my emotions I felt during the University of Oklahoma versus the University of Kansas basketball game, I can now say thank you -- not only for one of the most exciting games in NCAA history, but for every game I have watched you play and will continue to watch you play. I believe that it is not a KU basketball game unless you've gone through about 100 different emotions. You boys keep us on our toes, always guessing, and never allowing us to stray for one second from watching your games.

To our veterans Mason, Selden, Graham, Manning, Mykhailiuk, Self, Greene, Traylor, Lucas, Ellis, and Mickelson: Thank you for showing our new players the way we do it here at KU, and being phenomenal examples. When you men step on the court, your fans all sit back in their seats a little more in confidence knowing you can handle whatever comes your way. You have made this 2015-2016 team what it is!

To our amazing new additions: Vick, Diallo, Bragg, Young, and Coleby. Thank you for living up to the hype when you joined the Jayhawk family. You have fit perfectly on the court with the veteran basketball players.

To the coaching staff: Thank you for always supporting our players and dedicating an extreme amount of your time to one of the greatest basketball programs in the country.

And to the one and only Bill Self: Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for keeping KU basketball what it is for so many years, and continuing a truly amazing tradition. You always believe in those boys and stand up for them which is something every Jayhawk fan and player appreciates. You're an extraordinary coach, and we thank you for allowing KU to be your home.

The Jayhawk Nation is not the only group of people who can see this team going to the National Championship. Here in Lawrence, we live for watching the KU basketball team and this year's team is the whole package! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, as well as hearts of Jayhawk fans all across this World. You men put a smile on our faces every day.

This team is going to do amazing things.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
