The Denver Broncos were favorites to win the AFC West at the start of the season. Defending Champions isn't easy because you're getting everyone's best. This year was not a good year for the Broncos. Here are some reasons why Denver didn't make the playoffs this year.

1. Trevor Siemian

Trevor Siemian was named the starting quarterback for the Broncos in the offseason. Siemian had big shoes to fill because Payton Manning was the QB (quarterback) before and retired after winning the super bowl. Siemian started off great but then everything went down hill. He doesn't move well in the pocket and his offensive line couldn't hold up.

2. Cap space

The Broncos missed out on Brock Osweiler because they didn't have enough cap space. Osweiler is in the playoffs with Houston. laughing at the Broncos for not signing him. The Texans gave him a better contract. The Broncos overpaid many of their players and it came back to bite them. Missing out on a good QB is probably the main reason why the Broncos are not in the playoffs.

3. Team was being divided

The Broncos' defense is one of the best in the NFL. Their offense is one of the worst in the NFL. All year long, players were arguing on the sidelines and in the locker room. This doesn't help when you're fighting for a playoff spot and then you lose it. Guys like Aqib Talib, Chris Harris Jr, and TJ Ward have trouble controlling their anger on the field and off and caused detractions.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
