The classiest and most original first lady the 21st century has the pleasure of having.

The second Melania Trump stepped on to the political circuit, the general public rewarded her by using words like classy and elegant to describe her style, much like Jackie Kennedy. However, there is a growing list of designers that won’t dress her simply because they don’t agree with President Trump's policies. These designers include: Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Christian Siriano, Rebecca Minkoff, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and Rag and Bone.

However, Tom unlike other designers, doesn’t want to dress Melania Trump because his clothes are very expensive and made in Italy and that isn’t representative of what the First Lady should be broadcasting because all American people should have access to them. He has also said this would be the case even if Hillary would have become president (The Cut).

However, the list of designers that will dress Melania is growing as well, such as Calvin Klein and Rag and Bone.

Stefano Gabbana himself has Instagramed a photo of the first lady hash tagging it with DG women (The Cut).

Head designers for Calvin Klein state that of course; they are an American brand that will dress no matter the political party (The Cut).

Marcus Wainwrite says if we are going to get on board with this idea of inclusiveness and "Making America Great Again," then American fashion should support. This is something that should come before personal political beliefs.

And for my favorite answer from Tommy Hilfiger…

"I think Melania is a very beautiful woman and I think any designer should be proud to dress her. Ivanka is equally as beautiful and smart, although she wears her own clothes," he told WWD. "I don’t think people should become political about it. Everyone was very happy to dress Michelle [Obama] as well. I think they look great in the clothes. You’re not gonna get much more beautiful than Ivanka or Melania." (The Cut)

Here are some of my favorite looks from the First Lady in designers that help bring out her beauty and grace.

1.

This floral jacket is approximately $51K and designed by Dolce Gabbana. She wore this to accompany her husband in Sicily, Italy.

2.

All black Stella McCartney with gold accessories, a gold belt by YSL (now sold out because of the recent outing), and Christian Louboutin pumps. The outfit was worn to meet King Salaman in Saudi Arabia.

3.

Her inauguration outfit was the look where the general public said she emulated Jackie Kennedy. She was dressed in a Ralph Lauren blue dress and matching coat, accompanied with blue heels.

4.

This floor- length, floral dress was yet again designed by Dolce Gabbana, and worn when accompanying her husband for political meetings around Italy.

5.

Reema Acra floor-length purple gown with jeweled collar worn in Saudi Arabia. Also, she decided to forgo the traditional headscarf which I applaud her for.

6.

Masion Ullens, a Belgian designer, dressed her in a leather ensemble to meet Queen Fabiola at Children’s Hospital.

7.

Burberry Trench coat a classic piece that Melania wore to meet Wounded Vets in Maryland.

8.

Valentino Red dress worn to welcome President Xi Jinping of China. In China, red is a color of good luck.

9.

Melania’s official portrait was taken in a black Dolce and Gabbana jacket.

10.

Her Inauguration Ball dress was co-designed by herself with the help of Herve Dierre (former creative director of Carolina Herrera). This is one of my most favorite looks, it's classic with it’s head-to-toe white but has a republican flare with the red bow. She is truly one heck of a FLOTUS!

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
