Meeting Myself In An Alternate Universe

What would I do if I met myself in an alternate universe?

Meeting Myself In An Alternate Universe

Some of you may be aware of parallel universes such as the multiverse in the DC comics or even the war against the two worlds in the television series, Fringe, but what about the parallel universes in our world. It is speculated that our world is not the only one. When I say world, I mean universe if I'm not making myself clear. There is speculation that there are an unlimited amount of universes and in each one, anything can happen. For example in this world, September 11, 2001, the Twin Towers were attacked and destroyed while that same day in another universe it was just a typical day at the office. This is just a simple example that is a good size in comparison, but it could be as different as one person wearing a different colored shirt. The possibilities are endless and vary on a massive scale.

So if you thought of something to happen in an alternate universe, what would it be? Would you Earth to have three moons instead of one? Would you wonder what your doppelganger picked as their major? Or would you maybe wonder if you even exist in another universe. That can happen to which leads me to another series of thoughts. What am I like in other universes? Do I exist? Am I athletic in another universe? Am I a killer in another universe. All of these questions are odd and somewhat funny but I already know the answer to all of these questions. There are an unlimited amount of universes to where anything can happen within them. So of course in another universe I'm a quarterback on a football team and serial killer in another. All of these possibilities are happening, will happen or have happened.

Its exciting to think about what my alternate selves would look like. It be very interesting if we all met up and talked about our lives. We could share the similarities and differences of our lives. We wouldn't have to keep secrets because we are talking to ourselves and we would get jokes that others wouldn't get. I can see us hanging out and having fun with each. Each version of me would have something different with them varying in scale. We would all still be similar at a core level. Its really interesting to think about. The closest thing we could experience this is through twins. Twins have a duplicate of themselves right next to them. I have always wondered what it would be like if I had a twin. Maybe one day I will meet a twin.

If I do ever meet my twin, I will be very surprised. I wouldn't know what to say or even think. It would be very interesting situation. Just imagine if an alternate you would be your best friend. If you had similar lives and experience similar things then your lives should be similar. Some of those differences do carry some weight to them. My double and I would be different but similar. That is why we have so many alternate universes. Its amazing what they could hold and who could be in them. Who knows, maybe one day you will meet you double. If so, what would you ask them?

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
