Last year went by so fast and is already the end of January when I realized I didn't set any resolutions for me this year. Although, I'm not the type of person who makes resolutions. If I make them I struggle at accomplishing them. I tend to set goals to myself every now and then. Short term goals. Yes, I do have long-term goals and every day there's something to remind me about it, keep working hard.
Particularly, I think is not in my family's tradition to make New Year resolutions. However, we do have some Mexican traditions to welcome the new year. Things like walking out with a suitcase, eating 12 grapes, wearing colorful underwear, etc. This year, as soon as the clock turned 12 my aunt and I decided to walk out with a suitcase full of clothes (as the tradition requires it). This tradition symbolizes that for the rest of the year you will be traveling more than the past year. Our hope is to make that happen and visit more places in Mexico like Guadalajara, San Miguel de Allende, Puebla, etc. Away from the north, the side of Mexico we are used to be at.
