In the past, I've never really been able to commit to a New Year's resolution. Like many others, I start off the year in earnest trying to make a lifestyle change that will hopefully change my life for the better. This year my main goal was to commit to my work and really put 100% of my effort into all things related to my career and my school work.
As the first month of the year comes to its end, I'm glad to say that I've been pretty good about keeping up with my goal. I think that making my goal seem broader has helped me to keep up. I'm not micro-focused on one specific task that I could get easily tired of because there is a multitude of things I could do to commit to improving my work ethic. Whether it be spending extra time working on a specific story or planning out my week on paper so that I can figure out what needs to get done and when.
Although it's only the first month of the year, I'm hopeful that I am able to adapt this habit into my lifestyle. Not only because I want to but because I think it will truly help to benefit me in the long run.
