Jackson is a wild westie who lives with my family. He loves old friends and new friends and is likely barking at something outside. No matter how loud he gets, he is a good boy.

About Jackson:

  • Age: 3 years
  • Weight: About 20 pounds
  • Where they were born: St. Louis, Missouri.
  • Favorite food: Any human food, from chicken to macaroni.
  • Current location: Kansas City, Missouri.
  • Nicknames: Action Jackson, Jacks, Jackson Boy
  • Best friend: Probably my dad, but he loves my mom a lot, too.
  • Favorite toy: A fuzzy bone if he plays with toys at all.

5 Random Facts About Jackson:

  1. He loved rubber balls a lot as a puppy, but frequently popped them during playtime.
  2. He barks at anything outside, squirrels and the neighbor dogs are a couple favorites.
  3. He once barked and went berserk at some white flour on the floor as a puppy.
  4. His favorite thing as a puppy was chewing on everything in site, from pants to hands. He even tore up lots of paper towels and toilet paper.
  5. He LOVES other dogs, but usually jumps on them. I frequently have to hold him back when we got outside for a bathroom break.

3 Places They Love To Go With Their Human:

  1. Any park, especially if there are other dogs.
  2. Anywhere outside.

Jackson does not have a personal Instagram, but follow me on my Instagram @emily_dailyyy for occasional updates on him when I go to visit family in KC! I also post a lot of doggos on my Instagram account called @dailydogfriends. Jackson has also been featured there as well!

While Jackson may be loud and wild, he is always a good boy and always will be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
