Meet ASU Odyssey: Reagan Priest

Hello everyone! My name is Reagan Priest and I am a new reporter for Arizona State University Odyssey! I'm majoring in Journalism and Mass Communications at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism on ASU's Downtown Phoenix campus.

For my first year as an ASU Odyssey reporter, I'll be writing about politics and social justice, one of my greatest passions. My hope is to one day be a political correspondent, so I'll be exploring that career path here!

Aside from politics, I love true crime, reading, vinyl collecting, and hanging out with my friends. I'm obsessed with true crime podcasts, so send your recommendations my way. I love going to concerts and I can't wait for those to come back once COVID is over (Love On Tour here I come!). A fun fact about me is that I have four dogs back in my hometown, whom I love and miss dearly!

Speaking of hometowns, I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, where yes we have potatoes, but no my family does not grow potatoes. I actually grew up in a relatively urban area, living in the capital city of Idaho. I love Boise, but I chose ASU because I knew it was time for a change of scenery. My dad also went here, so I'm truly a Sun Devil at heart.

I'm so excited to be writing for the ASU Odyssey and I can't wait for my next four years at Cronkite!

Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
