Everyone knows you can't always read what you see on magazine covers, or in the tabloids. However, we read them and fully believe word for word whatever is said. Life can be hard for a celebrity who is under a microscope and having everything they say twisted around. It must be hard to live that kind of life.
That's hard enough, but try running for the President of the United States and having news articles and magazines twisting your words around. That's what is currently happening to Donald Trump. Obviously, Trump isn't everyone's favorite. However, it's hard to form a true opinion of him when most articles have his words twisted around.
Donald Trump recently visited Cincinnati, Ohio for a rally at Sharonville Convention Center. One of his main points was that the media twists around what he says. He said the night before he spoke in North Carolina and made a point about Saddam Hussein and how well he killed terrorists. He said the media twisted around what he said and wanted to make sure people knew that he thought Saddam was a bad guy (a point he made about ten times, no lie). But said that Saddam did one thing well, killing terrorists.
The next day on 'theguardian' website, an article was written about his rally with the headline: "Trump defends 'antisemitic' Clinton tweet and praise for Saddam Hussein." Which, if you ask me, makes it sound like he thought he was a good person. Media can easily twist around peoples' words and makes it hard for the public to have an unbiased opinion.
During his rally, he also commented on a tweet that was sent out from his account, as show below.
When this tweet was sent out, the media automatically attacked Trump saying that it was anti-semitic (or against Jews). This is very humorous to me considering he didn't even send this tweet out, but his team of publicists did. He commented on this and said that his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren are all Jewish. After the controversy, his team deleted the tweet and replaced the star with a circle. He announced in Cincinnati that he wished that hadn't deleted the tweet. He later tweeted what is shown below, in outrage for the media criticizing him.
It just goes to show that running for presidency is a lot like Hollywood drama, which is pretty messed up. People should vote for their desired candidate based on unbiased information. So, make sure you read the whole article and not just the headline (maybe watch the actual video too, just in case) so you know what actually happened. Don't let biased media control what you hear and what you believe.
