When you are under a strict budget, you really need to make sure all of your food fits into that budget. And that means, you eat what's cheap but still good. And, at least for my flatmate and I, that means we live off of sausage, hamburger, and chicken (for just one of the main food groups). Sausage is one of our favorite meats to have here, and so, we have been forced to come up with different ways to make it look and taste just a wee bit different. Here are just a few ways you can make your numerous meals of sausage exciting!

1. Fry them until they are golden brown and sizzling in the pan and then serve them, drowning in honey.

2. Chop them up into smaller sausage chunks, and fry them up mixed up in a bed of cabbage and potatoes.

3. Fry them in a tomato based sauce and mix this with pasta.

4. Bake them and put pre-grated cheese over them.

5. Or, simply bake them.

6. Switch it up and make hamburger or chicken instead.

7. Switch up your vegetable assortment.

8. Eat with rice instead of pasta.

9. Eat with the veggies in a stew.

10. Eat with the veggies on the side.

There are many other ways in which you can spruce up your meal of pork for the poor. But I don't have enough space to list everything. There are a number of spices you can use to make your meals more interesting, and there are a numerous ways to cook your poor-man's food to perfection. You may be eating off of a tight budget, but you can still look like your eating the food of kings.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
