10 Meaningful Tattoo Ideas For Any College Girl Thinking About Taking The Plunge

In This Article:

Tattoos have been a fad for many years and can be used to represent a variety of things. I love the idea of getting small tattoos that have deep meanings to me and have Googled hundreds of ideas.

These are my top 10:

1. A voice wave of a family member saying "I Love You"

If I were to get this, it would be one of my grandmother.

2. WordArt that represents a loved one that passed away

Both my aunt and uncle passed away in 2015, and they had the same initials, so I would get one with the shadow under in their favorite colors in honor of them.

3. Something that symbolizes your hobby or passion

Simple: a music note for me

4. A quote from your favorite book or book series

"Because we weren't like other people. We were peculiar."- Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

5. A quote from your movie or movie series

A Mockingjay pin from "The Hunger Games."

6. Something that represents Disney

I think that the Mickey Mouse hands would be cute, or a simple outline of the Mickey ears.

7. Your favorite Disney Princess or their symbol

The lights from "Tangled" would be perfect for me, as I love Rapunzel.

8. A semicolon

Semicolons are used to show that wither you or someone you know has been affected by depression. Many of my friends and myself live with this every day, and our story continues, hence the semicolon.

9. A quote from your favorite musical

While I don't know what quote I would use, I would definitely pick something from "Les Miserables."

10. Your freshman year dorm room number

238, forever and always.

Now go forth, my fellow tattoo-lovers, and get inked!

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
