9 Things You Should Do On Your Alone Time
Macie Nguyen

Often times we get caught up in our overwhelmingly busy lives. It seems like the older we get, the more things we have to complete on our never-ending "To Do" list. There is always something that we need to be doing or always someone that we need to give our attention to. Sometimes there is that little chunk of time in our day to sit back and relax, but we convince ourselves that we do not have the time to do so, because if we are not accomplishing anything, we feel that we are simply just wasting our time. An hour wasted is an hour we will never get back. Time is so precious. When we do find ourselves with that empty hour, we spend that time getting things done and giving people our attention. When we focus on everything but ourselves we might feel frustrated, irritable, stressed and depressed. Take a step back and dedicate some time to yourself. This time is not time wasted. Cherish it, it is fine. :-) Here are 9 things you could spend your alone time doing:

1. Simply relax, meditate and reminisce on the good things in life. Breathe a little.

2. Use this alone time to be completely selfish.

(Yes, it is OK to be selfish sometimes) Find yourself. Create yourself. Love yourself. Spoil yourself. Stop worrying and stressing about trying to keep every single person in your presence happy. Although it feels great, just remember that it is your life and you deserve some real good lovin', too.

3. Go out for some coffee with some good friends.

Talk about life, catch up and enjoy the moment.

4. Pack your bags and escape to paradise for a day or two.

After all, this is what you have been dreaming of and wishing for on those stressful days of yours. Just do it!!!

5. Take a nap. Put everything down and rest your body. You totally deserve it.

6. Go get a massage.

Your muscles are stiff and you have a whole bunch of knots because of the hard worker you are. Yeah, it may be a little pricey, but forget about the price for once. You know you want to. You will not regret it either.

7. Visit a wine vineyard.

Less whine, more wine. You could even go out for a drink...or TEN! Sorry not sorry, but sometimes, you kind of just have to!

8. Take a hot bubble bath.

Drop a bath bomb in there and light up some candles! Sip on some champagne while you are at it. Peace at last.

9. ENJOY YOURSELF :,)

If we are always focused on our external duties or even relationships, we miss opportunities on finding, renewing and creating ourselves. Devote time to yourself, your soul. Give yourself a break.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
