For most college students, Sunday morning is not one where you wake up early in the morning and get the day started off with an excellent breakfast. Sundays are lazy, and cooking is the last thing you want to do. However, breakfast food sounds better than it ever has. An egg, cheese and sausage sandwich, some pancakes, and hash browns. Ok, let's be honest, at this point you are already drooling. Luckily, now we don't have to stress anymore about setting the alarm for 10:15 to get that McDonalds breakfast that we always seem to miss by a couple of minutes! Sometimes we just have to hit that snooze button a couple of too many times, and it backfires by finally running out the door and realizing that you were too late. You missed your chance.

Somehow we always found a way to blame it on you. But, it's not your fault McDonald's, it's ours. Thankfully the day did come when the alarm could be unset and if that monster somehow still went off, the snooze button was hit with the relaxing thought of knowing McDonald's now sells breakfast all day long. Oh yeah baby, allllllll dayyyyyy loonnnnnnnggggg!

So now we have three hash browns on deck, and we are ready for more. I want two breakfast burritos. Then they always ask you the question, "Do you want hot sauce with that"? And I'm sitting there like:

So now you have really got yourself a meal, you got your hash browns and breakfast burritos. They give you the order total and you pull up to the window and give them your money, thinking in your head:

You pay and get your cash back and drive to get your fresh and 24/7 breakfast that you ordered. They hand you your bag and you whisper in the employee's ear:

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
