These women, both from the past and present, have helped to shape America in a variety of ways and make history, along with inspiring women everywhere.

1. Elizabeth Warren

Warren is a United States Senator from Massachusetts and a member of the Democratic Party.

2. Lydia Maria Child

Child was an author in early America. She wrote on multiple sensitive topics, including Women’s rights, Native American rights, and was an early abolitionist. She published over 30 novels and over 100 articles in her lifetime.

3. Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey had a successful talk show, magazine, and now her own TV network. She has inspired millions of Americans.

4. Katharine Meyer Graham

An American publisher, for two decades Graham was the leader of the Washington Post.

5. Michelle Obama

This first lady of the United States has inspired women everywhere and fought for an end to extreme childhood obesity in America

6. Susan B. Anthony

This lovely lady was a huge women's rights advocate and helped to get women their right to vote.

7. Clara Barton

During the civil war, Barton delivered important aid to soldiers on both sides. She was a founder of the American Red Cross.

8. Shirley Jackson

She is an acclaimed American novelist who has been praised for her writings.

9. Helen Keller/Anne Sullivan

Helen Keller was a blind and death hum being who overcame her disabilities with the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan. Anne stayed with Helen throughout Helen’s life as she worked to assist others who were blind like herself.

10. Harriet Tubman

As part of the Underground Railroad, she helped lead over 200 slaves to freedom.

11. Margaret Fuller

Fuller was a part of the American Transcendentalist movement and promoted women's rights.

12. Eleanor Roosevelt

Another FLOTUS, Roosevelt strongly fought for various human rights.

13. Amelia Earhart

An American pilot, Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly solo on the Atlantic.

14. Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Ginsburg is a Supreme court Justice and first Jewish Woman to be appointed to the Supreme Court. She has always advocated for women’s rights as well as human rights in general.

15. Hillary Clinton

Clinton was secretary of state and was the first women in the US to become a major party's presidential nominee.

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
