Disclaimer: Ideas presented in this article are not my own. Nothing is new under the sun. I will be using other people's discoveries as foundations for the argument at hand.
As I write this article, the television in my living room is steadily on the Weather Channel, and so are our eyes, as we prepare to “buckle down” for Hurricane Matthew.
All of my life, I have constantly heard statements that directly suggest the Second Return of the Lord. When He will split the Eastern Sky and call home a Bride without spot or blemish. To be completely honest, there were many times when I allowed these warnings to become a routine rather than take it as serious as it should be. But as I have matured, and time has gone on, I have realized how relevant these warnings are.
For example, let's use the hurricane, Hurricane Matthew, that is expected to hit the Carolinas (where I reside) on October 7, 2016 (otherwise written as 10/7/16). Matthew, a book of the Bible and also the name of the hurricane, chapter 10 (like the month) verse 7 (like the day) says, "Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near." Call it what you want, but this is a bold warning for those who resemble a characteristic that I once possessed as they ignore the "signs of the times."
The end is near. Not just an easy end. Not an end that will beneficial for all. This is serious.
God promised that He would be coming back, He promised that the next time the earth was destroyed, it would be by fire.
Being from the Church of God denomination and Pentecostal faith that I am, I firmly believe that without rededication salvation, one will not survive the destruction that is ahead, by spending eternity in a heavenly place, literally. When the rapture takes place, His church, that is saved and born again, will spend eternity with Him as the rest live an eternity of misery and fire.
The people that you love and the life that you enjoy will all change, either for the better or for the worse. If you love a born-again believer, the end will take them away from you.
Think about the distress the hurricane is bringing. Now try to imagine the suffering that will happen to you, if your life is not right when God calls His church home.
The end is near. Either you worship God or Satan. Either you are going to Heaven or Hell. The choice is yours. The signs are pointing to a rapture that will take place sooner rather than later. It may be fun to sit around and indulge in sin, but it will not be fun to sit in indulge in fire?
The end is near, the choice is yours. What do you choose?
