Mass Effect Game Review

In a couple of months, Mass Effect Andromeda will be released. I really liked the gameplay that was displayed for the news Mass Effect. Which made me want to go play the original trilogy for the first time.

After playing Mass Effect, I highly recommend giving it a play. If you have EA access all three are free in the vault. From the very start, Mass Effect does a great job of setting up its world. You play as commander Shepard, which can be male or female based on your choice. The game has a great story and it unfolds based on decisions the player makes through the game. Mass Effect has choices that will leave you starring at the screen for awhile because of how much impact it will have in the story. Certain Characters live or die based on your decisions. Also certain characters make it into Mass Effect two based on your decisions. I just started Mass Effect two and key choices in the first game play a significant factor in the story.

The main story of Mass Effect involves a council who oversees the galaxy. The council members are called specters and one member goes rogue for unknown reasons. Leaving it up to commander Shepard and his squad to stop the specter named Saren. Shepard ends up becoming a specter which is rare for a human in this world. Humans do not have that much respect in this galaxy which becomes an interesting subplot throughout the game. For a game that is nearly ten years old, Mass Effect plays and looks pretty good. There are some significant frame rate issues throughout the game, I also would get stuck in certain spots and wouldn't be able to move. The gameplay is a lot of fun, which is usually my biggest complaint in RPG games. Many of then focus on making a huge world with many quests to do, but forget to make engaging gameplay. This is not the case for Mass Effect, I would say it's more of an action/RPG. It pleases both third person shooter fans as well as RPG fans. The world is massive but not overwhelmingly massive it's not hard to navigate around the world.

Were Mass Effect could of done a better job is the side missions. I never felt any urgency to do them because the main story was so engaging. Making the side missions feel insignificant. There was also little variety to the side missions they all looked the same. Additionally, you could get new gear and weapon upgrades just playing through the main story.

If you haven't played the Mass Effect trilogy like me, I think now is the best time. The new Mass Effect looks fantastic and is coming out in March. This is one of the best role playing games ever made and I can't believe it took me this long to play it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
