Being A Marvels Fan

Each Marvels character has taught me something about myself.

Marvels is a variety of comics, movies, television series, and more. They create characters that can be dangerous, or even heroic. Being a fan and watching these can be nerdy, but it helped me find the person I am. Watching Daredevil, Captain Marvel, or even the originals like the Hulk or Spider-man, can create feelings and personal experiences that develop a person behind the screen. For myself, seeing the ways of relationships between love and hiding a secret can be dangerous or even life risking.

Sitting in front of my television for hours watching The Avengers, Hulk, or even Fantastic Four can be entertaining. You get these feelings of love and hatred towards the characters. At one point, you feel like you are the hero. I am 100% a Marvels fan. How do you get into it? It's based on what you enjoy to watch or read. I enjoy action, love, and enemies. Based off the Marvels, every character has one of those items in their story.

When I watch the Marvels, I get my own ideas. I start to think of an amazing costume, or a creative name that's not invented. I start to plan out each scene, and how it'll happen, whether someone is saved, or an enemy is killed. When you watch all the different characters you begin relating yourself to one. The personality, how they talk to others, how they use their powers in a good or bad way, and most importantly how they learn about themselves. Each of these characters teaches me how to find myself, how I can relate myself to a Marvels character, and how I would do things differently.

More importantly you get a sense of the heroes, you learn about yourself within each scene. Being a fan comes with a lot of interest, but it comes with ideas too. In my daily life, Marvels has showed me within their characters how to build relationships better, how to communicate if there is a secret that cannot be told, and how to solve problems whether it be risky or professional. Sounds impossible, but I found my matured self in the Marvels. With so many things on the line you start to make your own decisions, and that is not just in the fantasy world, it's in the real world.

Being a Marvels fan comes with dedication. You want to know the next Marvels movie coming out? I've got it. Never seen a certain comic or movie before? Let me tell you about it. What are the Marvels? Oh man, let me tell you. I am that one friend that will talk all day about which character I love and which one I hate. I will give you my likes and dislikes, favorites and non-favorites. I am a Marvels fan and if I had to relate myself to a Marvels character it wouldn't be a common known character.

My character wouldn't be just one Marvels character. It would be a mixture of characters based off personalities. A true Marvels fan doesn't have just one character. We have them all.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
