"For what it's worth: It's never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you're proud of, and if you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start over." -F. Scott Fitzgerald
You know when you have those really rough days and you feel like the weight of the world is pressing down on you and you just cannot get going? We've all had those days because every single person has had something happen to them at some point in their lives that just left them completely devastated/heartbroken. Maybe you're going through a break up, or maybe you lost someone close to you, or maybe you just feel like you're living the wrong life and you are thinking about being a better person. Whatever it is that you are going through in life right now or have gone through at some point, I am glad you took the time to read this article.
As someone who has had their fair share of heartbreakingly sad days, I understand. I understand what it's like to lose people close to you whether it be to a death or friends/family no longer being a part of your life. I understand what it's like to feel like your life is not going in the direction you thought it would be and I understand what it's like to realize you are not who you want to be. And guess what? It's okay to feel like this. We are humans and we deal with a lot of stuff sometimes that isn't easy. But don't take it out on yourself when life gets rough. Instead, try to take that pain and better yourself as much as possible because when you hit the bottom, the only direction one can go is up.
God has a plan for each and every one of us. Even if you question his plan at times, just remember that he knows everything and he only does what is necessary to set you on YOUR path. I know that losing people is hard and you could never understand exactly how it plays into some big plan. But sometimes its the heartbreak of losing that person that leads us closer to our path.
Marvel at your life. Whatever it is that you are going through, is making you stronger whether you realize it or not. And why not marvel at that strength? Why not feel proud of yourself for overcoming something that you never thought you would get through? I think the hardest part in dealing with heartache and sadness is what we do to ourselves in the process.
The first quote you see in this article is from F. Scott Fitzgerald and it is one that, recently, has become one of my favorites. The message could not fit my life more perfectly and I want to share with you in hopes that maybe you can find the strength to start over and be the person you want to be and follow your own path. Marvel in the person that you are and/or are becoming and everything you have gone through to get here. And remember that with each step you're taking, God is there with you and is so very proud of your strength.
