To The Man Who Will Marry My Best Friend

To the man who will someday marry my best friend,

Take it from me, I know. She's got something special, and I don't blame you for falling head over heels for her. She's beautiful, funny, smart, and has everything any girl could want. Including a guy who loves her to the moon and back. And I'm so happy that she's happy.

But please, don't let her fall. She's been through so much, and is unbelievably strong. She's been to hell and back, and I never want to see her in pain. So please, take care of her. Love her even when she's a mess. Wipe the tears off her cheeks. Pick her up when she falls. And most importantly, please don't hurt her.

I know her better than anyone else, and I know she can be a handful. When she's angry, she's fierce. When she's sad, she's quiet. And when she's got something on her mind, God, you're gonna know it. She's going to call you out on your mistakes, and won't hesitate to tell you exactly where you went wrong. Cherish it. Because you won't find anything like it anywhere else.

Don't take her for granted. She's wholeheartedly in love with you, and is eager to show you off to the world. Please don't use her. She wants to be unapologetically in love, and wants the same from you. She is the most loyal and trusting girl in your life. Please don't change that about her.

She's the same girl that stood by my side through high school drama, helped me through the worst parts of my life, shared college gossip over coffee, and never failed to put a smile on my face. Now it's your turn to look after her. Please don't run when things get tough.

She deserves the world. So if you're out there, please, take it from me.

Love,

Her Lifelong Best Friend

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
