Why You Should Marry A Man Who Puts You Second

How do you expect a man to lead you if he's not looking first to God to lead him.

Yes, you heard me correctly. Marry a man who makes you his second priority in life.

Being a member in today's society often means falling victim to the many stigmas that are placed on almost everything in our daily lives, to how we should dress, where we should eat, and who we should date.

It's most womens dream to be swept away by a knight in shining armor who will save us from our distress and lead the path before us and make it straight.

What we have to realize is that none of that is possible unless your man is putting God first and you second.

How do you expect a man to lead you if he's not looking first to God to lead him.

One of my favorite quotes was spoken by Max Lucado. He states, "a woman's heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him to find her".

I remember stumbling upon this quote as a young freshmen girl in high school. I remember thinking that the statement was very plausible, except I never had heard any quotes about men leading women closer to our creator.

I'm not sure if as women we dont fully believe that godly men still exist in this world, or if we just got sick of getting let down by people who dont exceed or even come close to meeting our expectations.

Regardless, godly men are alive and well people! And if you are having trouble finding them, maybe start evaluating your own lifestyle.

How we portray ourselves as women will directly reflect what type of men we attract.

Sometimes we complain about wanting a godly man, but are we acting as godly women?

Some of us end up settling for men who put us second in life. They put "their boys", work, schooling, sports, and who knows what else before the women in their life.

Marry a man who puts you second in his life, but only to the Lord up above.

A man that is so focused on Gods will for his life that he is led to you by Him. To lead you, to love you, and to ultimately help build a stronger relationship between you and God.

The right relationship wont distract you from God, it will bring you closer to God.

The truth of it all is that if a man isnt following God, he isnt fit to lead.

If he doesnt have a relationship with God, he wont know how to have a relationship with you.

And if he doesnt know God, he doesnt know real love.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
