So for all basketball fans and fans of various sports all around, March can be one of the craziest months all year. It's the only month where all basketball fanatics (and people who like to bet that are just looking for some extra cash) come together and pick their best guesses on those brackets and try their best to not be the first one to want to burn theirs. For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, I'll let you know what you're missing out on and why March is full of nothing but madness.
1. You get to watch underdogs upset the big dogs.
What could be better? How about those teams from colleges that no one knew existed come in to the tournament and throw down on the top dog? It's actually awesome to watch.
2. There's usually one or two crazy buzzer-beaters.
The thrill of the last second shot. Even if you hate basketball, you have to respect someone throwing up the ball from half court and drilling it home.
3. You can watch the kids on the bench celebrate like they just won the lottery after every made shot.
Nothing is better than watching the kids who don't get a chance to see the floor still support their teammates beyond 100 percent.
4. There's always some sort of new dancing or move that players bring to the game.
Examples being dabbing, pretending to eat a bowl of cereal, OK sign to the eye, or three fingers on the side of the head. It's always a fun thing to watch.
5. Some great memes come out of each tournament.
Who doesn't love a good meme that goes viral? NCAA tournament time produces some of the best.
6. The fans also make it worth watching.
A picture speaks a thousand words.
7. You never know what's going to happen.
Upsets have got to be the best thing about the month of March, unless you fill out a bracket and bet money on it then maybe not. But in my experience, there's just something about watching a no name team become something big.
8. It's something to look forward to every year.
When March is over, the countdown to the next Selection Sunday begins. It's almost as good as Christmas for basketball fanatics.
Now, fans (and non fans), pick up that remote and join the madness!
