To the Many Senior Lasts

Retire the leis and embrace the business suits.

To the Many Senior Lasts
The TCU Magazine

It's been a year of lasts for many seniors at colleges all over the country. The last safari mixer, the last victory, the last football season, the last formal etc. There's no denying that some seniors might go through a little post college depression as they fight their way through the real world, but I'm here to give them hope. Yes, you may have to retire your cat ears and your box of theme party outfits but that doesn't mean you have to stop partying!

The way I see it, if you're a fun person, your life will always be inevitably fun. Post college parties just means better alcohol and fancier clothes. It also means that your drunken munchies will probably be a lot better considering with a real job your budget can afford something better than toppers….hopefully! So instead of getting down about all the things you wont be doing, start thinking of all the sophisticated soirees you'll be attending.

In the meantime, take advantage of this week's issue of The Odyssey! Inside this issue there are several articles that will be sure to take your mind off of schoolwork and graduation stresses! The humor section with Sinclair Dickinson's Karaoke Guidelines and Emma Mikulecky's 9 Reasons Not to Go to TCU will have you laughing and shaking your head in affirmation.

Hannah Taylor's Idiots Guide to the Iran Deal will keep you updated on the world of politics in a way you can understand. A Letter to All Incoming Freshman by Danielle Binder and Why You Shouldn't Stay With a Guy Who Cheats on You by Lauren Goulet offer some serious words of wisdom that are worth a god read. These ladies have high standards and good advice so be sure to take notes!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
