The Mandela Effect is an intriguing theory that attempts to explain the phenomenon in which large groups of people have similar or identical alternative memories. The theory points at the possibility of travelling between parallel universes, and it strikes much controversy within the scientific field. Fiona Broome first coined the term in 2010 after becoming interested with her own memories which matched the memories of several strangers.

Fiona Broome currently runs a website where she posts about her latest research and works to understand paranormal phenomena such as the Mandela Effect. She has written over 1,000 articles for an assortment of magazines and websites, and has appeared on radio and television to discuss her findings and theories revolving around such topics. Recently, she has focused on identifying patterns which may aid her in explaining the Mandela Effect.

Other scientists have also contributed to the growing speculation of the theory over recent years. Referring to the phenomenon as confabulation, several psychologists state that the Mandela Effect is merely the result of memory defects. Many scientists explained that memories are both fragile and flexible. This means that one’s memories could easily be altered.

Whatever the case may be, whether the Mandela Effect exists due to the modification of memories or frequent visits to a parallel universe, it is interesting to see how easily the human mind can be deceived.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
