To Whom My Heart Belongs

You have my heart and in return, you gave me yours.

My heart must have your name written on it. Cause you took it away from me. You have my heart and in return, you gave me yours. To Whom My Heart Belongs, it is you. It has always been you.

Little did I know from the moment you walked into my life that it would be changed forever. On that day, God gave us our other halves. And I would be lying if I didn't say that you changed my life for the better. You have loved me since the very first time you laid your eyes on me. You have been stealing my heart day by day with your pick- up lines and flirtatious ways. Each and every day you make me fall deeper and deeper in love with you.

For years you tormented me day after day and you still do and I tormented you right back.. You wanted my attention, you surely got it. Even though I tried to act like you didn't catch my eye like I caught yours. I was stubborn, you know it because I still am. But you would not have me any other way. You never gave up. You didn't stop until you caught your forever girl. You fought for me. You loved me when I didn't know how to love myself. Encouraged me when I needed it the most. Offered up your shoulder to cry on. Doing anything and everything you could just to make me smile.

You have always made it one of your top priorities to make sure I was happy. You have always taken care of me. In a crowded room, you are the one I am drawn to. You are my person. When I look deep into your eyes, I see the person you've longed to love has always been me. I see our future. Knowing that we want nothing more than to spend forever together. The amount of compassion that fills your eyes when you look at me is limitless. When you look into my eyes I hope you see just the same. You captivate me.

My hand fits perfectly inside of yours. I love the way your thumb traces circles over mine. When I reach out my hand yours is reaching right back. I love the way that you hold me, hugging me tightly. The way that you wrap me in your embrace is breathtaking. In your arms, I know that you will protect me from the bad things, hold me through whatever life throws at us, pick me up when I am down and love me through everything. When I'm in your arms, it's where I feel like I am supposed to be. Your arms feel like home to me. And in that place, I have found where I truly belong. You taught me how it feels to be loved with an everlasting love. And I never knew how that felt until I met you.

Before you, there was something missing in my life. Something I had prayed for years to be blessed with. And I knew one day my prayers would be answered, on that day my life would be changed forever but it would be worth that wait. And there you were. The love of my life. You came into my life like a hurricane. Raging, constant, persistent. Exceeding all of my expectations, hopes, and dreams. No one has ever been or ever will be comparable to you. In case you didn't know, baby I'm crazy about you. To whom my heart belongs. It has always been you. I love you.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
