Wanting to leave a fast food joint in peace hardly seems like anything to ask for.

And yet Mohammad Robinson didn't even get that much.

The 31-year-old father of four and stepfather of two was shot on the night of Saturday, August 27th, 2016 outside of a Las Vegas McDonald's after he failed to hold a door open for a woman.

“He was coming into McDonald’s and some female was going out,” Katra Nestor, Robinson's mother, said. “The door closed before she could get out and what happened is she said a few choice words to him.”

According to the police, the unidentified woman told her male companion about the incident, who then confronted Robinson in the parking lot and, after an argument, shot him multiple times.

"Officers responded about 11:45 p.m. to the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North, near North Pecos Road, where they found a 31-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds," said the North Las Vegas Police Department.

Robinson was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and died early Sunday morning.

Robinson's gentle and peaceful nature made the murder doubly shocking to friends and family. “He was the utmost respect for his elders. Yes, ma’am — no sir. He’s not confrontational even when we would argue he’d walk away,” the victim's girlfriend, Shea, said.

Shea created a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral costs, which you can find here.

"As I sit here trying to absorb this horrific news and put the broken pieces back together again for myself and family I worry how the future will play out from losing him and dealing with our youngest child who is currently hospitalized and suffering from a blood infection called sepsis at a young age of 3 months," she wrote.

“It’s horrible. I want my dad back and you took him away from me,” said the murder victim’s 14-year-old daughter, Miniya Sampson. "It was a stupid reason honestly, irrelevant. It doesn't make any sense why would you actually take someone's life over not opening a door."

The gunman remains at large, and authorities continue to investigate.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
