Mamby On The Beach: A Collective Photojournal

Music, good vibes, friends, and dancing with our toes in the sand...does life get any better?

Mamby On The Beach is by far my favorite music festival. This past weekend, Mamby was held on Oakwood Shores in Chicago. What separates this music festival from many others, is the experience people have there. At Mamby, there were people getting their hair braided, participating in group yoga, petting puppies, receiving henna tattoos, dancing in a silent disco - all for free! As if you needed another reason other than dancing on the beach to artists like Leon, Russ, and AJR.

I believe that the experience people have can be told best by the photographs taken there. Thank you to everyone who participated in this collective journal, and I can't wait to attend Mamby next year!

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
