So for anyone who lives under a rock, here's an update. The trending memes are all about the election. There's a lot of talk about Trump's comment about grabbing women's genitals. People are speaking out and bringing attention to it being sexual assault. Honestly, yeah, it's pretty screwed up and calling it sexual assault isn't a stretch. How people are still going to vote for this dude is beyond me -- but to each his own. Exercise your rights, whatever. Bashing Trump for promoting rape culture isn't really what I'm here for. Instead, I'm going to talk about this BS circulating the Internet:
This is the stuff that irritates me and makes me hate getting on Facebook. Like, why encourage the behavior that we're sitting here criticizing? Y'all make no sense. Groping, kissing or doing whatever without consent, whether it involves a male or female victim, is the same. Sexual assault is sexual assault. If you're sitting behind your computer screen complaining about how much of a "rape culture promoter" Trump is, yet you're sharing or liking this on social media, you're part of the same problem.
This is promoting the same damn rape culture that Trump is. For those of you who are against him, but not against this sort of image, how does it feel to be labeled under the same category as this man you despise? For those of you who are for Trump and claiming that grabbing anyone's genitals is not sexual assault, how does it feel to know that you can relate to a rapist? Try to make all of the justifications that you want, but that's where this kind of content puts you. No one deserves to be sexually assaulted. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Drop the stupid mindset of "an eye for an eye" and grow up.
