You live for the rave lifestyle and the atmosphere that comes along with festivals. The only thing that is missing is closest to you, your room. Creating a wonderful bedroom is not only very fun, but can be the life of the house party when having friends over to kick back.
Painting your room is one of the most important parts. This is where your creativity comes in to play as your decisions here set the atmosphere and mood. You can choose your favorite colors, but make sure they are bright and vivid for extra appeal! When I was younger I splatter painted one wall of my room and it was entertaining making it as well as made it my own creation. Have fun with this!
The next step is decorating. Posters of your favorite artists, activities, quotes, or just interesting stuff in general add a very personalized look. A few smaller items include lava lamps, chargeable glow sticks, and dancing lazer lights (which are my favorite). These can be found at Spencer’s and even your local Goodwill is going to have some hidden gems.
Personally, my rave room was in my P.O.S dorm sophomore year. I made the best of it (picture above) with blacklight posters, regular posters covering every inch of wall space, and flags from my favorite states and countries. The best part about creating a rave room is that it is your room and showing it off to people fulfilling when they say, “this is so bad ass”.
For additional fun I created a custom beer pong table that had led lights fastened around the side so it provided an awesome effect to the whole room. One of the most important parts is a stereo system. Lower priced stereo systems are going to be speakers that bottom line will provide an audio or blue tooth plug in so you can hear the music. Each level above will be louder, heavier, and bassier for bassheads that love the mind melting drops. I got my hands on a sony speaker with two subs, two kickers, and a mixing deck so I was DJ ready to go.
