The feeling is arriving, the same feeling when you know you really should workout today to compensate for last night, the feeling of guilt. It is time to ask yourself, “What have I done with my summer?” See if you’re okay with your response.
Whether the answer rewards or disappoints you, know that there is always room for a change. I challenge you to wipe the two words, “I’m bored” completely out of your vocabulary. Regardless if you have been at home or abroad, interning or binge watching Game Of Thrones, there is still time to fulfill what’s on your summer bucket list.
Soon enough, we will be back to our busy lives on our college campuses, thus now is the time to utilize the next few weeks ahead. Instead of repeating a season of your favorite television show for the fifth time, here are five healthy ideas of what you can do today!
1. Check out a yoga studio by you and give a class a try (Burns away the calories AND stress!!!)
Playlist Yoga, West Hollywood, California
2. Go to your local coffee shop or library and start reading one of the many books you promised yourself you would read this summer. Plus, you’ll have an artsy new picture for Instagram.
A book store in Jerusalem
3. Go on a long walk or a hike. You will be getting some exercise without even having to hit the gym. Also, spending more time outside is actually proven to increase happiness!
Palos Verdes, California
4. Grab a few friends together and check out a new restaurant. Let’s be real, when is getting food ever a bad idea?
I ordered the vegan omelette with a side of Israeli salad and avocado hummus, washed down with an orange mimosa of course ;)
Benedict, Tel Aviv
5. Go to a sports game! Time to get #cultured!
Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles
Start today with one goal you want to accomplish - whether that is to call up your grandparents, meet up with an old friend, buy lots of fruits and vegetables at your local market and cook dinner for your family, or hear a local artist perform at the park. Find a reason to smile today, and get yourself outside!!!

This is the youngest we will ever be, and the time to fill our souls with adventure. You don’t need to be in a foreign country to travel, you have a whole world to explore and it starts with getting outside today.
Your next half of summer just may end up to be fulfilling.
