Making Life Easier for Professionals

17

Medical professionals are sometimes too busy to know what changes are taking place in the industry. This action tends to derail their quest of staying up to date with the latest advances in their medical field. With this in mind, Dr.Jill Lopez and a team of diverse veterinary professionals, decided to create Vet Candy-a free comprehensive digital hub for veterinary professionals. Even though the company was launched one month ago, thousands of veterinarians have benefitted from the services that it has to offer.

Dr.Jill Lopez created Vet Candy mainly focuses on two things:

• Empowering female veterinarians and veterinary technicians and promoting inclusion. Despite outnumbering men in this profession, women are still not found in high levels of management throughout the industry. By empowering women, Vet Candy aims to create a balance for the better.

• Providing mentorship and support to veterinary and veterinary technician students
Venturing into the veterinary profession is not a walk in the park. Veterinary training is extremely challenging. Vet Candy helps to free up time they can use to devote to their studies by providing clinical updates and scientific news that matters. Vet Candy also makes learning easy and fun through websites with easy to digest articles, entertaining podcasts and videos and an app.

How Vet Candy Helps Busy Veterinary Professionals

Makes their life easier
Vet candy makes the life of veterinarians easier by focusing on changes taking place in the profession today. Vet Candy provides easy to read scientific news and clinical updates. All this is achieved by offering information which defines the diversity of professionals.

Improves life harmony

Apart from making life easier, Vet Candy also helps professionals have an improved life harmony. This is because veterinarians, just like other humans, can also experience a serious psychological distress. By providing expert lifestyle tips, Vet Candy is able to reduce the number of veterinarians who experience psychological distress.

Why Expert Lifestyle Tips are Important to Veterinarians

➢ Reduce stress levels
Expert lifestyle tips are very important regardless of the field that you are venturing in. This is because they help you avoid the stress that comes with having to work for long hours or dealing with many people. The veterinary profession cannot be left behind when naming professionals who are experiencing psychological stress. Recent studies seem to suggest that most female veterinarians under the age of 45 are not happy. This in turn subjects them to a serious psychological distress which may at times prove difficult to handle.

Most veterinarians with psychological distress end up developing conditions such as anxiety, burnout and depression. These conditions can make the life of a veterinarian hard since one cannot perform the day to day activities effectively. In addition to this, you may feel isolated since everything around you does not seem to make sense. With expert lifestyle tips, a veterinarian is able to restore the happiness needed to succeed in the profession.

➢ Decision Making

Making the correct decisions is sometimes very hard for veterinarians especially if you are always busy. However, with expert tips from Vet Candy contributors in finance and career management, veterinarians can get the information needed in decision making. It therefore becomes easier to solve issues such as high student debt which is now affecting many veterinarians aged 45 and under and finding the perfect job.

"As the proportion of woman in the profession continues to increase, there is need for them to start making important decisions in the profession," says Dr. Lopez, Vet Candy Founder and CEO, "To do this successfully, it is important to champion for ourselves in the same way we fought to get into the profession."

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
