8 Makeup Products You Need To Try

Hey, makeup fanatics! I've recently been trying a bunch of new makeup products and wanted to share some of my best finds with you! Here's 8 Makeup Products You Need To Try:

1. Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation

This is a great medium-full buildable coverage foundation! It's thick, so I definitely recommend using a wet blending sponge to put it on in thinner layers. It's absolutely true to color and does not oxidize on your face - so have no fear of turning orange! I would definitely avoid this foundation if you have oily skin as it can be a bit heavier, but for dry-combination skin it's a winner!

2. L'oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara

This mascara is amazing. Let me tell you, it's absolutely life changing. Whether you have long eyelashes like myself or short ones, it will make them look amazing. I can't tell you how many people have asked me if I have fake eyelashes on when I wear this and how many family members I've gotten hooked on it.

3. Mac Soft And Gentle Highlight

I really thought highlighting was a stupid trend at first. Like, we try so hard to stay matte why would we want to put shine all over our face? Then I tried this highlighter - and DAMN did my mind change. This highlight is beautiful and just adds so much dimension to your face. It gives you a nice healthy glow and isn't a chunky, flaky glitter. Seriously, if you haven't tried a highlight yet consider this one.

4. NYX Liquid Lipstick

So I have like, nonexistent lips and this stuff is great. You can over-line your lips without looking crazy and it lasts like, forever. There's so many shades and they dry completely matte. Skip out on those Kylie lip kits and go for these.

5. Elf Contour/Blush Duo

This is a dupe for the Nars Orgasm/Laguna duo, and it's only $3. It's super pigmented and pretty long wearing. For the price, there's no beating it.

6. Lorac Pro Palette 3

These eyeshadows are awesome! I'm not a big eyeshadow person but when I wear it I always reach for this palette. There's shades to create a look for every occasion in here! Whether it's a matte smokey eye or a shimmery neutral look you will find everything you need in the Pro Palette!

7. Benefit Gimme Brow! and Precisely, My Brow Pencil

I thought eyebrow products were dumb. Like, who actually takes the time to do that? Then, I found myself at Ulta impulsively spending $40 on some Benefit products and I get the hype. Eyebrows can make or break you, and these products are definitely worth it. I recommend going a shade or two lighter than your natural hair color with these so you don't look too crazy, though.

8. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

Save your money on that pricey concealer, because this stuff covers EVERYTHING. It's not too thick and goes on super flawlessly and it'll cover any imperfections.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
