I do not know about you but, I love makeup. To me, it is more than just another thing girls use to me it is a lifestyle. I know not everyone in the world feels the same way I do about makeup, but I do know people who do. Here are some of the things we are sick of hearing from people who just do not get it.
1. Why do you wear so much makeup?
It is a simple answer really, it is how I show my creativity. To me, makeup is an art form. Also, it gives me killer confidence but that is just a side effect.
2. How many shades of red lipstick does one person need?
As many as possible. There are so many different reds in the world, there are red with orange undertones, some with red. Others are muted red and some are bold -- there is a red lipstick for every single outfit and occasion and skin tone.
3. I thought MAC was a computer model?
*Shakes head*
4. Why do you need special high-end makeup? Is it not all the same as the drugstore?
Higher end makeup is better quality overall, it offers more skin benefit as well as longevity and shade options overall.
5. I just do not see what is so special about the Naked Palettes.
What is so special is that they are hands down the best eyeshadow palettes on the market. They have the best colors, the best formula and the best wear time -- that is what is so special about them.
6. Why is there so many different types of lipstick?
Each lipstick has a different finish, for example, matte, liquid, sheer, hydrating, stain. Everyone has a preference to a lipstick finish -- there just needs to be options.
7. What is so special about VIB Rouge?
It is so special because only true makeup fans have it. It shows your dedication. That and it helps get you more free stuff from Sephora and who does not love free stuff?
8. How many black eyeliners does a person need?
As many as they please. All the eyeliners come in different formulas, pencil, cream, liquid, kohl and crayon. Also, each black is different -- there are levels to the darkness.
9. What is the difference between Sephora and Ulta?
Sephora is heaven on earth. It only sells luxury makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance where as Ulta sells drugstore makeup, skin and hair care as well as luxury as well.
10. I thought Lorac was a Dr. Seuss character?
Yes, there is a Lorax Dr. Seuss character but this is not what we are talking about here.
11. Why does there need to be a bottom lash mascara? Can a person use a regular mascara on their bottom lashes?
Yes, they can but they will not be able to get all the bottom lashes with a regular sized wand as well as a smaller wand would, hence bottom lash mascara. It is all about the wand.
12. What is so special about a beauty blender? Is it not just a sponge?
A beauty blender is the best makeup tool to be ever invented. It is a sponge but the material of it makes the finish of a makeup look so much more natural and even. Plus how it is shaped is unlike any other sponge, you can really get all areas of your face with it.
13. Why does this lipstick smell like chocolate?
Because it is Too Faced melted chocolate lipstick clearly. *Hair flip* Majority of Too Faced's products smell like chocolate.
14. Why do you have so many brushes? WHY?
Each brush is specific to a particular type of makeup wither it be the formula (liquid vs. powder) or what the specific area is -- you would not use an eye shadow brush to apply blush would you? At least, I hope you would not.
15. What is an undertone?
It deals with your skin tone and the colors that make up your skin tone. It's basically what will make or break your foundation. There are three types, golden, pink or neutral.
16. Why is there so many different foundation types?
It all deals with consumer preference. Some people prefer liquid, or powder or cream. Plus, all coverage is different depending on the foundation; it can go from sheer to moderate to full coverage, it just depends what you like.
17. What is clown contouring? Is it the same as regular contouring?
Clown contouring is a Youtube trend no one truly does it on a daily basis. Instead of using powder products you would use cream and you can draw absurd pictures with the product because eventually, you would blend it out so then the images would no longer be seen.
18. Why does there need to be so many different contouring kits? They all do the same thing and all have the same colors in them right?
Because they come in different types for skin tones. So, no. They are all not the same shade. They all come in different mediums such as cream, stick or powder.
19. How long does it take you to do a wing eyeliner?
Depends if you care about the standard of perfection or not. Anywhere from five to twenty minutes.
20. I just do not understand what the big deal is.
That is okay, some people will simply not understand it and that is okay.
At the end of the day, it truly does not matter if you are obsessed with makeup or not as long as you are comfortable in your own skin, that is all that matters.
