Makeup and the cosmetics industry have been around for decades and will continue to amaze us. From colored mascara to metallic lipstick, it has taken over the 21st century and continues to accommodate a younger and younger crowd. To some, makeup may be a waste of time or money, but to some of us, its a literal hobby. Makeup is another way to express yourself, and it makes you feel confident and empowered. Not that you shouldn't feel this way without makeup, but it's always nice to enhance what you already have.

YouTubers from all over started posting videos with titles "The Power of Makeup", only putting makeup on half of their faces and justifying as to why they feel beautiful on both sides. Makeup is meant to help you feel confident in your own skin and teaches you to love yourself with and without it. Makeup is fun and shouldn't have to look or feel a certain way.

See, makeup has no rules on what to wear and how to wear it. Foundation can be applied with your fingers, a brush, a sponge, or any other way you can come up with. Everyone's skin type and preference is different, some may have oily skin but prefer to have a more luminous look. It may not matter if its in the middle of winter and someone uses a full coverage matte foundation instead of a dewy foundation. Everyone will have a specific look they are going for, and it doesn't matter how others feel about their makeup or how they used it. What matters is how the person in the makeup feels about themselves.

It does not matter what someone else does with their makeup. They don't even have to wear it. Therefore we shouldn't judge people on what they should "cover up" or how well each product is used. We need to accept the fact that any one man, woman, or gender fluid, can wear any kind of makeup that they want.

There should not be bashing of someone because they "didn't use a setting powder" well. Maybe she has dry skin and it clings to her dry patches. Or maybe she has to buy more expensive products because her skin is sensitive to most drug store brands. Just because someone doesn't do what seems to be "normal" does not mean they are all alone. Who knows, maybe they can come up with the newest trend.

Makeup is meant to empower those who buy it, wear it and enjoy it. We should not degrade someone for what they use because it's not what we like; that defeats the purpose of makeup as a whole. We have to accept new ideas from our fellow makeup lovers instead of critiquing we need to admire.

The makeup world is growing fast and you have to be willing to grow with it. Tell someone they are beautiful today, with or without makeup.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
