Five Things You'll Only Understand If You Can't Do Makeup

But there's a lot of other things I can do.

Raise your hand if you have never been the best at doing your makeup or never do your makeup because you're too lazy.

My hand is up and I am waving it like I just don't care. Okay ... moving on.

I have never been the girl that has her face done every single day. I only do for important/special occasions. Why? Because I suck at doing my makeup and I sometimes wish I was better at it.

I cannot contour to save my life. I recently learned how to apply eyeshadow but I am such an amateur. I know how to apply eyeliner without it looking tacky but nothing fancy and how to not poke my eye out while doing my mascara. Other than that, I am as clueless as Cher.

Anyways, I really admire the girls that have the art of applying makeup down because wow it is hard. I sometimes sit in my room and watch makeup tutorials, not because I'm learning or trying to learn, but because I am still too lazy to do it and because it amazes me how good those girls in the tutorials are.

In order to make myself feel better and like I have no clue as to what I am doing when it comes to makeup, I have made a list of things I can do (well enough). So, if you're like me and probably couldn't do someone's makeup to save your life in a hostage situation, maybe this list helps you out as well...

I can't contour but...

I can watch an entire Netflix series in less than a week.

I can eat a medium pizza all by myself.

I can bake a mass amount of cupcakes in one night (team no sleep).

I can't use highlighters but...

I can highlight only the important points in my notes.

I can write in cursive.

I can read cursive.

I can't blend my eyeshadow correctly but...

I can blend paints to paint a canvas.

I have short term photographic memory.

I always read the books before watching the movies (yes, I'm that person).

I can't use concealer but...

I can make homemade tortillas.

I can rollerblade and ice skate.

I can do my right hand nails without too much mess-up.

I can't do winged eye liner but...

I can draw an almost perfect circle.

I can draw straight lines without a ruler.

I can make paper cups with any piece of scrap paper (thank you third grade).

I'm a list maker. I make lists for everything. It's a blessing and a curse, but I try not to take myself too seriously because we only live once (@drake). So, instead of feeling sorry for myself because I can't do makeup or hating on the girls that can, I look at the bright side of things.

Nobody can be good at every single thing in life. We all have our strength and weaknesses. My weakness is for sure the whole makeup deal. I just can't do it, and that is okay! So instead of putting yourself down or beating yourself up because you can't do something well, make a list of the things you can do! You will see that they will outweigh the one or many things you can't do. After you make your list, if you really want to, you can practice the things you want to better at and that's how you grow (and how we all grow). In the meantime, I will continue praising the makeup gurus because you go girls and boys.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

two women enjoying confetti

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.
