As we all know, makeup is very common among women. Most ladies absolutely love to wear makeup. I am personally one of those ladies. Makeup is my favorite thing, and I take the time each morning to apply my own makeup. With makeup, or lack thereof, also comes several comments from outsiders about how much or how little makeup we wear. There are several misconceptions about why girls wear makeup. Honestly, these comments about makeup tend to be quite unnecessary and sometimes rude. I don't wear makeup for the reasons that most would believe.

First of all, people commonly believe that girls wear makeup to impress guys. While I am sure that this is true for some girls, it is definitely not true for me. I am not trying to live my life to impress any guys. I wear makeup for my own satisfaction, and because it makes me happy. If a guy is impressed in the process, that is great, but it is not my purpose. It is a personal satisfaction of mine, and that is all that matters.

Doing my makeup in the morning is not a chore, but a personal enjoyment of mine. It is genuinely fun for me to spend time doing my own makeup. I enjoy the result of what I create, and I enjoy the process of it. I love every aspect of it, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I have watched several videos on how to do my makeup, and I have enjoyed watching these videos and applying what I learned into my own work. Sometimes life can be boring, and it is fun to spice it up with the makeup tips I have learned from these videos and from my own makeup experimentation. Life is short, so why not spice it up every once in a while?

I do not wear makeup because I am insecure. In fact, it is quite the opposite. I wear makeup because I am confident enough to do so. I am not trying to hide anything that I hate about myself with makeup. I am actually embracing what I love most about myself. If I weren't confident in myself and my abilities, then I would not take so much time and effort into my morning routine. I know who I am in Christ and what I am capable of, and I like to show that! I am confident in the Lord and what He has done for me, and I am not insecure because of Him.

Makeup does not define who I am, but it does help me express who I am. I am an artist, and I like to reflect this in my makeup. Like I have said before, I like to use makeup to embrace my best parts. My makeup reflects my personality. I like to show the world that I am an artist, and I have absolutely no shame in that. I feel beautiful no matter what, but makeup definitely adds extra excitement to my life.

My makeup tells a story, and I am trying to express a great story! I am confident in the Lord and what He has done in my life, and that is who I am.

"I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord."

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
