Being alone doesn't mean that you have to feel lonely.

I used to feel dependent on other people and felt that I couldn't do fun things by myself. But that is completely not the case, you can do anything that you want alone. I think one of the saddest traits a person can have is making their happiness dependent on another person. It's not hard to do things alone, so just try it out.

1. Go see a movie!

Workers at the movie theatres completely have no care in the world whether you're there alone or with someone else. Also, movie goers don't care, either. I love seeing movies alone, especially when I want to see something that other people are groaning about seeing with me. Also, if you're going alone, then you can see a cheap matinee and save money!

2. Paint.

You can literally go to Painting with a Twist and paint a masterpiece for about $30. It's also BYOB friendly, so you can drink and paint your loneliness away. I 10/10 recommend planning this in advance though because you don't want to paint anything that you don't like.

If you don't want to go to a studio, then you can go grab your paints and follow an online tutorial.

3. Pottery.

There are places like Color Me Mine that allow you to paint any piece of pottery of your choosing! You can turn this act into a gift for a family member with ease, and it's fun to do!

4. Go shopping.

Buy a new outfit to make you feel better! You don't need to find anything to look good for someone else, but find something to make you feel good about yourself.

5. Binge watch a new series.

You can watch a series that you've never heard of on Netflix or Hulu. I 10/10 suggest trying "Black Mirror" on Netflix to start. I fell in love with the series right away! You could even rewatch something. Nothing against that!

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
