Do you have a hobby? Something that you enjoy in life? What about a meaningless thing that turns into a wonderful career? To Taylor Bobo, this is exactly what happened when she dived into the waters that are making lotions and perfumes.

Ms. Taylor Bobo, 23, hails from Elberton, Georgia. She is a student at the University of Alabama where she is taking up music therapy. She first got into the idea of making her products as a stress reliever and way to focus on something else other than school or work. She makes essential oils and avocado oils. She started researching about making them a year ago, but didn't get started until she was in the middle of the semester.

The process consists first of measuring everything out to make sure that it is the right consistency and that it has a nice texture to it and not too greasy. She heats up the bowl that she is making it in because the heat denatures the oils and causes them to lose some of their properties. After she heats up the bowl, she mixes it up before putting it in the freezer to let it cool for about 10 minutes. After cooling for 10 minutes, Bobo takes the bowl out and uses a whisk to whip it up into a thicker consistency. Then she puts it in a container and serves it to others.

When asked if anyone showed her how to do this, Bobo commented that she did it all by trial and error. She looked up online how to make the lotions because she did not know how to start. At first, it was a struggle to even get a result. Now, it is really easy.

Doing this process makes Bobo feel happy inside. It also makes her feel appreciated because of people coming up to her asking to try out her products. She has gotten a huge hit on them. It is something different from her normal activities of the day. It is like she is in a whole other world when making her products.

Hopefully, in the future, Bobo will make it a well-known career. She would like to start her own business. Right now, it is just her one-sided hobby. She does make them as gifts and sells a few. Her favorite one is the citrus sweet orange. The most popular one that has caught people's attention is the lavender and peppermint lotion. It has an earthy smell to it.

Bobo would definitely recommend this hobby to others because it is different. It is not something that is common whereas most hobbies are music or reading. Making lotions and perfumes has a calming effect and she would love to share it with others.

Next time you are bored and looking for something to do check out this hobby and see where it takes you. You never know you could end up loving and continuing it in your life!

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.
