In one day, there are 24 hours, 1440 minutes, and 86,400 seconds. There is never enough time in a day, though. It makes you wonder where the time goes. Each day is just like the day before. Each week is made up of the same tasks and responsibilities. Although not many of us will ever have a drastic midlife crisis, there comes a point in which we question what we are even doing with our lives. Cherish every second, and make the most out of life.
1. Breakfast
I know what you are thinking. "I don’t have time for breakfast!" Starting your day on an empty stomach can significantly influence your attitude throughout the day. Just remember that no one wants to be around you when you're hangry. Try waking up another 20 minutes early so you don’t have to eat on the run.
2. Time Alone with God
So often do I forget to hear my own advice! Start out by putting aside five to 10 minutes a day to spend with God. Cast all you worries onto Him, and reflect upon yourself by asking God to be with you throughout the day.
3. Random Acts of Kindness
Just because your day hasn’t been going well doesn’t mean someone else’s can’t be good. Knowing that you have helped make someone’s day a little brighter will, in return, brighten up your day as well.
4. A Pep Talk
In the words of Aibileen Clark, "You is kind, you is smart, you is important."
5. A New Hobby
Contrary to the popular belief that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, people at any age can find something new that they will enjoy. Whether you already have a hobby or not, I encourage you to try something new.
6. Dressing up
I have come to realize, during my 19 years of life, that the way we look somehow influences the way we feel about ourselves. When you look good, you feel good.
7. Hugs
Everyone loves a little lovin’. Getting a hug from that special someone can make you feel 100 percent better.
8. Change
This could quite possibly be one of the scariest words in the English language. If something isn't going the way you would like, change it! The solution most often lies within yourself. Change is often a good thing.
