How To Make The Most Out Of Your Instagram This Summer

Let's say you're scrolling through your Instagram timeline. You swipe past the typical selfie pout, past the beach sunset from last month, even past that moving picture you know took a lot of time and Boomerang skill. Until something catches your eye. Its not the amount of likes or the quality or the filter, it's the caption. Any savvy Instagrammer knows that your caption will make or break you, but who's to say that you can't rock the heck out of your summer with some awesome captions?

For your sun-kissed selfies:

"When I am older I am going to live in a beach hut in Hawaii" — "Beach Hut In Hawaii" by Charlie XCX

"We could be together baby, as long as skies are blue" — "Summer" by Calvin Harris

Likes: Piña Coladas Dislikes: Getting caught in the rain

I know what you did last summer

"String of lights making your eyes shine tonight" — "Sangria" by Blake Shelton

Tip: Don't overdo your filter. Sometimes, less is more.

For those fun-filled beach days:

"Warm, wet, and wild" — "California Gurls" by Katy Perry

Nothing but smiles (and sunscreen)

"I'm gonna soak up the sun" — "Soak Up the Sun" by Sheryl Crow

Beach

Not another teen (beach) movie

Tip: Don't post a picture when you know people won't see it. Test the waters and find out when your friends and followers check Instagram most often.

For those cozy summer nights:

"There's a humming in the restless summer air" — "Glory and Gore" by Lorde

Moonlight and Moonshine

"Friday night beneath the stars, in a field behind your yard" — "I'm Only Me When I'm With You" by Taylor Swift

Can I have s'more?

"You and I are cool for the summer" — "Cool for the Summer" by Demi Lovato

Tip: Break out your artistic side and have fun with editing, filters, and overlays.

For those memorable nights out with pals:

(500) Days of Summer

"Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!" — "Phineas and Ferb"

"Oh, those summer nights!" — "Grease"

What a heavenly view, dreaming in red, white, and blue

Summer of '69

Tip: Post whatever you'd like on your Instagram because it's your Instagram!

Make the best of your summer vacation. Your Instagram will thank you.
