DJ Khaled has taken over Snapchat, and the entire internet really, with his "major keys to success." Well, here are some major keys to make your semester boomin', just like business always is for DJ Khaled.

Eat breakfast.

In the wise words of DJ Khaled, "They don't want you to eat breakfast." While this makes no sense when he says it, it really is a major key to making your semester boomin'. Wake up a little earlier than you need to so you can eat breakfast, in order to keep yourself from thinking about food instead of listening to your professor (I know I'm not the only one that does that). Also, we all hate that one person that brings their food to class and sits behind you while munching on what sounds like rocks.

Always take your best shot.

DJ Khaled preaches to take your best shot in whatever you do, and this is great advice. Whether it be taking your best shot on your test, or asking that hottie out on a date, always take your best shot.

Show fan love.

Because every normal college student has fans, right? Well no, but in a way, you do. You have family and friends that support you and cheer you on in everything you do. Show them some love! Everyone loves to hear they're appreciated, and it'll make you feel good for making them happy. It's a win-win, really.

Know it's OK to get lost.

DJ Khaled told us that it's OK to get lost at sea. While most of us won't really get lost at sea, because between the classes, parties, and sleep we love, we don't have time to go ride our jet ski's all day and end up getting lost. However, this is a great lesson as well. We are young! It is completely okay to get lost sometimes, or to be lost all the time. College is about finding yourself and learning what your calling is. Not everyone has their life figured out. I take that back, no one has their life figured out. So, take a deep breath and remember, it's OK to get lost.

Celebrate with Ciroc Green Apple.

OK, so no, we aren't going to be celebrating being a millionaire (or whatever Dj Khaled celebrates on a daily basis), but we do have little victories that deserve to be celebrated! Like passing a test, hitting a new personal record for how many marshmallows you can fit in your mouth, or walking to class instead of riding the bus. Whatever your victory is, no matter how big or how small, celebrate it! And if you really wanna be like DJ Khaled, then do it with Ciroc Green Apple.

Keep people around you that lift you up.

It's a new year and a new semester, so let those people go who only bring you down. You have a goal, whatever it is. If someone isn't helping you get there, then you don't need them. No one needs negative energy in their life.

Exercise.

If DJ Khaled and his big ole ass can make it to his in-home gym and work out, so can you. Find some time each day to do some sort of exercise, even if it's doing crunches during the commercials while you're watching tv. They don't wanna see you healthy and sexy. Prove "they" wrong.

Start every conversation with, "This is off the record."

If you're like me, you have paparazzi everywhere you turn trying to twist your words. Okay, obviously I'm kidding. However, no matter where you are, someone is always watching and listening. You don't really need to start your conversation with your professor with, "This is off the record, but..."; however, be cautious in what you say.

Give thanks and bless up.

Always, always give thanks, and always bless up. Yes, there are going to be tough times, and you're going to want to scream. Instead of getting upset when things don't go your way, try to give thanks for what you do have. You may have made a bad grade on that test, but at least you're able to attend college in order to better your future. Remember to bless up.

Remember that even though there will be roadblocks, you will overcome.

Life is going to throw you some roadblocks in your journey to success. That's just a simple fact of life; however, remember that you will overcome them. If you really have your mind set to something, there are going to be things, maybe even people, that try and get in your way. Do not get discouraged, but instead, push through and prove them wrong. Keep your eye on the prize, and stay faithful to yourself and your values. You will overcome.

These are just 10 of the many major keys from Dj Khaled that will lead you to a boomin' semester. And once this one is over, it will lead you to another one.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Moms are super heroes dressed in yesterday's clothing and they deserve an award for that.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.
