Dear dad,

The more I learn about myself the more I realize I am like you. I know who I am because of you and mom. Without you, I wouldn't be who I am today.

You are one of the most hard-working people I know. Watching you move from librarian to director has helped me see how hard work can get you where you want in life. You never gave up. Even when some would have thrown in the towel, you just kept going. You were doing double the work for the library which some would see as wrong. However, instead of complaining about it, you just did what was needed.

Your sense of humor is something I will always treasure. No matter how I'm feeling you always seem to make me laugh or smile. Sometimes I don't show it but I truly value our ability to joke together.

Your love for others including animals shows me how much compassion can truly mean to someone.

I may not show it but I will always care for the moments we share tpgether.
