I believe people are So. Damn. Brilliant. One of the most brilliant things a human can do is see their life in a madness of colors. When people see their lives in color, they truly become so beautiful, they are outstanding with whatever they put their minds to, and I truly believe that they almost become the sun. They find that bright, yellow light inside of themselves and radiate with the passion that this crazy world needs. We need these type of people because that's what separates them from being "ordinary" compared to "extraordinary." Seeing your view with a black and white perspective can only take you so far because people almost need color to survive.

We need the failure, the chaos, the broken heart, and tears from loss; That is the color. The color is the look on the poor man's face when he is job searching. The color is the look on a previous alcoholic when she becomes 30 days sober. The color is the kid who gets a "C" on his math test and he's SO excited because he needed to pass to play football next fall. The color is the look on the students face when she procrastinates her homework but has a sigh of relief when she gets it done at 3 in the morning. The color is the athlete that falls during a race, yet gets back up because he has been training to finish his event, no matter the obstacles he may face. The color is the look on the six-year-old girls face when her crush is playing tether-ball with someone else. The color is the look on the little boys face when he finds out his older brother committed suicide because he was bullied so much. That's the color. It's the chaos, the heartbreak, the relief, and the loss.

When it storms, it either storms for days, a couple hours, or just a few minutes. And sometimes after those storms, there is not always a breathtaking rainbow to go outside and look at. It takes more than one storm at times before a rainbow appears, but when that rainbow appears, it is absolutely breathtaking, and the storms become worth it, just like your past struggles and hardships, they shaped you, and now your view is colorful. You have to make your view colorful so that your outcome is a madness of colors that you overcame and now understand. Why to be "ordinary," when you can choose to be "extraordinary?" Why live life in black and white when it can be lived in color? The madness of colors you experience are going to turn you into the brilliant, extraordinary person you were meant to be. Do not be afraid to radiate with all you experience, embrace all of your colors, and be So. Damn. Brilliant.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
