The 2016 Made In America line up has officially been released, and I cannot be more excited! Last year's weekend long event was incredible and from the second I left the concert grounds I began a countdown for the next one.
If you are going to be in the Philadelphia area during Labor Day weekend, I would highly recommend purchasing tickets! There is a good blend of music through out the day for fans of all genres and the atmosphere of the entire festival is unique. With all sorts of fans mixed into one place, you don't just have the typical "music festival" type people walking around the grounds. Everyone from rock fans to rap fans come out to support their favorite bands and artists.
Although many people attend the festival for the big name headliners, even the less popular artists always have decent sized crowds gathered in front of their stages. The whole festival atmosphere rubs off on everyone and the energy that you feel in the crowds is something indescribable. Who knows, maybe you'll even find a new favorite band in a genre you don't normally listen to!
Then there's the food, oh my goodness the food. Right down the middle of the festival grounds is a brightly colored walk way that is lined on both sides with some of the best music festival food I have ever encountered. I was personally a fan of the grilled PB&J and banana sandwich that I got on the first day, it was so disgustingly delicious. I so recommend trying it.If you're of the legal drinking age (as I am not so I can not technically weigh in on this area) the entire festival is sponsored by Budweiser so you will be thrilled by the selection of alcoholic beverages to cool you down. For those of you under 21, you'll be able to find water stations and sodas scattered around the grounds as well so no worries about becoming dehydrated!
During the earlier shows, the grounds are not too packed and you can scope out some places to watch the night's performances. Most people pay for the tickets and don't take advantage of all that the festival has to offer, which in my eyes is a mistake. In my opinion, if you are investing in an experience such as a music festival, you should soak up all you can by being there when the gates open until they close.
Now, onto this year's exciting announcements. The line up has officially been released and I have attached it below! Early bird tickets sold out quickly, VIP and Tidal tickets will go on sale this week and on Monday June 27th the tickets for the public will be officially on sale at 10am. So set those alarms and make sure you get your tickets as soon as you can! *Oh and a friendly tip, beware of the resale ticket sights! I hate to admit that I spend almost $60 more than the original ticket price last year because I didn't use the proper websites.*
