Macro Photography : Tea

This week I decided to do something different, and showcase some shots from a macro shoot I did.

For this shoot, I used kenko extension tubes and a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. I've found this lens to be incredibly nice for portraits, while also being great for macro work. Coupled with the extension tubes by kenko, you can still control all of the functionalities of the lens from within the camera. I tried to focus mainly on the framing and the sharpness of the shots, and I selected teas that looked appealing while also matching with the backdrops and canisters that I used. Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area.
