Lorde, otherwise known as Ella Yelich-O'Connor, is 21 years old. Originally from New Zealand, she began her career at 16 making everyone take notice of her for her song "Royals". By 17 years old she was the youngest solo artist to be number one on Billboard Hot 100 since 1987! On top of all that, she's won two Grammy Awards and for good reason. She has been one of my favorite artists for a very long time and despite a few years break she came back just as amazing, if not better, than when she debuted. Lorde is even more magical in person which is why I've gathered her most alluring and thought out lyrics that really demonstrate how crafty and original she truly is. You won't find any interpretations of her songs, instead I want to entice you into listening to her songs and deciphering her masterpieces for yourself.

1. "Wide awake in bed, words in my brain, 'Secretly you love this / Do you even wanna go free?' / Let me in the ring, I'll show you what that big word means."

- "Glory and Gore"

2. "We gladiate but I guess we're really fighting ourselves/ Roughing up our minds so we're ready when the kill time comes"

– "Glory and Gore"

3. "Pretty soon I'll be getting on my first plane/ I'll see the veins of my city like they do in space"

– "Tennis Court"

4. "So I fall/ Into continents and cars/ All the stages and the stars/ I turn all of it/ To just a supercut"

- "Supercut"

5. "I light all the candles/ Cut flowers for all my rooms/ I care for myself the way I used to care about you"

– "Hard Feelings/Loveless"

6. "We live in cities you'll never see on screen/ Not very pretty, but we sure know how to run things/ Living in ruins of a palace within my dreams/ And you know, we're on each other's team"

– "Team"

7. "The truth is I am a toy/ That people enjoy/ 'Til all of the tricks don't work anymore"

– "Liability"

8. "I love these roads where the houses don't change (and I like you)/ Where we can talk like there's something to say (and I like you)/ I'm glad that we stopped kissing the tar on the highway (and I like you)/ We move in the tree streets/ I'd like it if you stayed"

- "400 Lux"

9. "This dream isn't feeling sweet/ We're reeling through the midnight streets/ And I've never felt more alone/ Feels so scary getting old"

– "Ribs"

10. "Uh-oh, dancin' past the point of no return/ Let go, we can free ourselves of all we've learned/ I love this secret language that we're speaking/ Say it to me, let's embrace the point of no return"

– "Magnets"

11. "It's in your bloodstream/A collision of atoms that happens before your eyes/It's a marathon run or a mountain you scale without thinking of size"

– "Bravado"

12. "I'm a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm/ And the scars that mark my body, they're silver and gold/ My blood is a flood of rubies, precious stones/ It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me"

– "Yellow Flicker Beat"

13. "I never watch the stars, there's so much down here/ So I just try to keep up with the red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart"

– "Yellow Flicker Beat"

14. "Explosions on TV/ And all the girls with heads inside a dream/ So now we live beside the pool/ Where everything is good"

– "Buzzcut Season"

15. "I won't be her, tripping over on-stage/ Hey, it's all cool, I still like hotels, but I think that'll change/ Still like hotels, and my newfound fame/ Hey, promise I can stay good"

– "Still Sane"

16. "We've both got a million bad habits to kick, not sleeping is one./ We're biting our nails, you're biting my lip, I'm biting my tongue"

– "A World Alone"

17. "Easy, easy/ Pull out your heart/ To make the being alone/ Easy, easy"

– "Easy"

18. "But we're the greatest / They'll hang us in the Louvre / Down the back, but who cares? / Still the Louvre."

- "The Louvre"

19. "The Chanel, the Dior and the Prada/ Take it home, make a fire in the garden/ Sundance kids, so godless"

– "Precious Metals"

Last March I was lucky enough to see her tour. She's even better in person, her show was such an artistic master piece, and she knows how to show her fans she's just as down to Earth as she's always been. If you need some new music or just want to hear perfection, look her up!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
